Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing accusations of hypocrisy after setting up a new staff structure that closely resembles that of the royal palace – the very institution they have publicly criticized for years.
Critics Slam Harry and Meghan’s New Team: ‘A Royal Court in Disguise’

According to MailOnline, the couple has reorganized their team, appointing Meredith Kendall Maines to lead a group of 11 staff members based in both Montecito and the United Kingdom. This organization will support their Archewell Foundation as well as their commercial ventures, including Meghan’s new lifestyle brand “American Riviera Orchard” and Harry’s upcoming projects. The move has raised many eyebrows.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams called the move “ironic,” pointing out that Harry harshly criticized similar royal structures in his memoir Spare. Meanwhile, author Tom Bower described it as a last-ditch effort “to keep their brand alive,” referring to the team as “an expensive group of bureaucrats, not a royal court.”
Amid this noisy reorganization, old controversies have resurfaced — including reports of high staff turnover and past bullying accusations, which Meghan has denied.
Will this reorganization be a successful turning point or just another attempt to stay relevant in the public eye? Time will tell.
