FBI Releases Photo of Suspect in Kirk Murder, Public’s Help Requested

The FBI has asked for the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest connected to the fatal shooting of prominent conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

The FBI’s Salt Lake City office today released images of the individual on the platform X (formerly Twitter) and provided the hotline number 1-800-CALL-FBI for anyone who may have information.

According to a source close to the investigation, a screwdriver was found near the rifle believed to have been used in the attack.

Investigators suspect the weapon may have been disassembled and reassembled before being used, possibly to conceal it inside a bag or even clothing.

CNN earlier reported that several capitalized phrases related to cultural issues were carved into the firearm and ammunition discovered in the woods near the crime scene.

President Donald Trump, speaking at the Pentagon following a September 11 memorial ceremony, said he had no further information about the investigation beyond what has already been made public.

“Pretty much what you’re seeing in the news is what it actually is. They’ve got a virtual manhunt out there, so we’ll see what happens. But hopefully, we catch him,” Trump stated.
